Datagate Connectors for PSA and Accounting Systems
Datagate Includes Connectors for ConnectWise Manage, QuickBooks Online and Xero
Our product strategy is to integrate with popular software packages that are important to MSPs and we are adding to our collection of connectors all the time. Our goal is for Datagate is to make telecom billing easy, quick, and automatic – eliminating all need for rekeying.
Presently, our connectors include ConnectWise Manage, QuickBooks Online and Xero, which are detailed below.

ConnectWise Manage Connector
Datagate’s integration with ConnectWise Manage enables MSPs to continue running their businesses through ConnectWise Manage, while Datagate generates the specialized telecom invoices that are visible to any staff member using ConnectWise Manage and any software plugged into ConnectWise Manage. We recognize that many MSPs run their business “the ConnectWise Way”. Datagate supports this approach in adding telecom billing.
Datagate has a two-way synchronization with ConnectWise Manage via an API connection, that shares the following data:
Customer Account Details that are entered and maintained within ConnectWise Manage and labelled as telecom customers are synchronized back to Datagate. Customer details need only be entered and maintained in ConnectWise Manage.
Customer Agreements that are entered and maintained with ConnectWise Manage and labelled as telecom agreements are synchronized back to Datagate for billing. This includes product and service details as well as pricing.
Telecom Invoices generated by Datagate are transferred back to ConnectWise Manage as miscellaneous invoices under the customer’s account.
Agreement Updates are another option and alternative to Datagate-generated invoices. Using this method, instead of using Datagate to generate the telecom invoices, Datagate will update an existing Agreement within ConnectWise Manage, so that billing can be executed using ConnectWise Manage.
For the same or less cost than our previous provider, Datagate has saved us time, integrated telecom billing into ConnectWise and is delivering better support.
Michigan-based IT services and support provider, DS Tech, is using Datagate’s integrations with ConnectWise, CCH SureTax and QuickBooks to automate the billing and reporting of VoIP services.
It was really easy to integrate Datagate to ConnectBooster, QuickBooks Online and our other systems.
US VoIP service and systems provider Charleston Telecom Solutions has used Datagate’s integrations with ConnectWise, ConnectBooster, QuickBooks Online and CCH SureTax to create an ‘automated billing and payments machine’ that runs itself.


Xero and QuickBooks Online Connectors
Datagate’s two-way API integrations with Xero and QuickBooks Online are designed to share data to eliminate rekeying.
Data is shared in the following two areas for both Xero and QuickBooks Online:
Customer Account Details that are entered and maintained within Xero or QuickBooks Online and labelled as telecom customers are synchronized back to Datagate. Customer details need only be entered and maintained in the accounting system.
Telecom Invoices generated by Datagate are transferred back to the customer’s account within Xero or QuickBooks Online, just as if they had been entered in directly.
Other Accounting Systems
Datagate can share data with other accounting systems by means of CSV text data files which can be produced by Datagate and imported into most accounting systems.
