Why Datagate: Our Story

Monetizing online services via efficient billing

Why Datagate? Datagate meets the market’s demand for a state-of-the-art online billing and customer service portal

There are significant changes happening to the way that business is being transacted today, which include a big shift towards usage billing, services rather than products, online immediacy, convergence of online services and the development of new reseller channels.

Customers today prefer to interact with their suppliers online – at a time that suits them, rather than that which suits the supplier.  Customers want transparency. They want to see where their money is being spent. They want to know they are getting the best deal and the best service.

The billing of services, particularly telecommunications, utility and cloud services, requires the processing of huge amounts of specialized data. The processed data needs to be accurate, well presented and available online. Datagate makes it easy to bill, manage and white label new streams of recurring revenue.

Watch this video, in which Datagate Innovation CEO Mark Loveys explains the Datagate concept.

The answer is Datagate

Datagate is a cloud billing engine and customer service portal that is built on the world’s most powerful computing platform – Microsoft Azure. It uses the latest technologies to produce a cloud-based system that is as powerful as you need, yet affordable and easy to work with.

Datagate’s team has decades of experience in building world-class accounting and analytical systems.  All of that experience, expertise and dedication is now directed at developing one system – Datagate.

Datagate’s Board of Directors

Datagate’s board of directors is made up of individuals who each have a strong track record in creating shareholder value.

Chairman Dr Jens Neiser owns Neiser Capital and manages the Neiser Capital Investment Fund, which holds a significant stake in Enprise Group, Datagate’s major shareholder. Non-Executive Director Malcolm McDonald is an independent investor and director. He was the founding director of BankLink. Mark Loveys is CEO and Executive Director of Datagate. Over the last 30 years, Mark has started, built up and sold many businesses and has been described, by the New Zealand Herald in 2011, as ‘one of New Zealand’s most successful serial software entrepreneurs.’
