Datagate Innovation has signed a partnership to include CCH SureTax Communications with the Datagate telecom billing platform, in a move that automates communications tax compliance for Datagate’s US customers.
Datagate’s telecom billing system processes the usage data feeds of telecom providers and manages the data aggregation, rating, billing and analysis of service usage. Technology service providers use Datagate to take ownership and control of their telecommunications business, enabling them to move into the more strategic role of sole supplier.
Providing a ready-made path for Datagate’s US customers to manage communications tax compliance enables them to further simplify and de-risk their voice and data services business, says Datagate CEO Mark Loveys.
“Datagate now includes a tax calculation solution that accurately determines and tracks tax consequences of transactions,” he says.
“We recently enabled customers to connect all of their Datagate pay-as-you-go billing into their ConnectWise Manage environment. This new tax partnership continues Datagate’s drive to keep making it simpler for technology service providers to sell telecommunications services.”
Under the partnership, Datagate customers can rely on CCH SureTax and associated compliance partners to register them as needed with state and federal authorities, calculate taxes and fees, and provide the necessary reports to regulatory agencies to maintain compliance at the federal level.
Datagate selected CCH SureTax based on its superior tax coverage for the communication industry. CCH SureTax is a web-based tax calculation solution delivered as a SaaS cloud computing technology. It is owned by Wolters Kluwer, a leading global provider of tax, accounting and audit information.
