Inside Kaseya Connect APAC 2025: What MSPs Told Us and What Comes Next

Datagate at the Kaseya Connect APAC 2025 event in Australia

Kaseya Connect APAC 2025 brought together MSPs, vendors, and partners from across Australia and New Zealand. The event offered clear insights into what MSPs need from their telecom billing platforms and how Datagate can continue improving automation, accuracy, and workflow efficiency.

Here are the core themes we observed: together MSPs, vendors, and partners from across Australia and New Zealand for a week of conversations about automation, efficiency, and the future of the MSP ecosystem. For Datagate, it was an important opportunity to reconnect with the ANZ market, validate what MSPs want from their telecom billing tools, and deepen relationships with PSA partners around the world.

From discussions on the show floor, to partner meetings with teams from Vancouver, Dublin, and across the region, several themes came through clearly.

MSPs Want Billing to Live Inside the PSA They Already Use

Key insight: MSPs prefer telecom billing that integrates directly with the PSA platforms they already operate in.

Something we heard repeatedly from attendees is the desire for telecom billing to work directly inside the PSA they rely on day to day.

ANZ MSPs are using a variety of platforms, including Kaseya BMS, Autotask PSA, ConnectWise PSA, and HaloPSA.

Datagate’s ability to integrate with all of them was a major point of interest. Attendees liked that they don’t have to change systems or workflows in order to automate or streamline billing. Instead, Datagate plugs into their existing operational stack and keeps everything connected: customer accounts, contracts, usage, invoices, and payments.

For MSPs trying to keep their operations tight, this level of flexibility matters.

Reconciliation Is Becoming a Priority for MSP Margins

Key insight: MSPs are increasingly focused on rebilling accuracy and margin protection.

Reconciliation was one of the most talked-about topics of the week.

MSPs want confidence that they’re rebilling everything they’re being charged for. They want to know where revenue leakage might be happening. They want clear visibility over supplier invoices and how they compare to customer billing.

Datagate’s new reconciliation module attracted interest for exactly that reason. Even in its early stage, the tool helps MSPs ensure accuracy by comparing supplier charges to billed services. It addresses a pain point that came up repeatedly in conversations with MSPs.

MSPs are increasingly focused on margin protection, and reconciliation is now seen as a key part of that strategy.

IPND Compliance Matters and MSPs Want It Automated

Key insight: Australian MSPs value tools that simplify mandatory compliance tasks.

In the Australian market, compliance responsibilities such as Telstra IPND updates are essential and often tedious.

MSPs appreciated learning that Datagate integrates directly with IPND, allowing customer details to be updated automatically rather than managed through manual uploads or one-off processes.

This resonated strongly with attendees looking to reduce admin load while ensuring their voice services remain compliant.

MSPs Want Supplier Flexibility

Key insight: MSPs want freedom of choice and do not want to be tied to a single telecom wholesaler or carrier.

Another theme from the event was the importance of choice.

ANZ MSPs do not want to be locked into one wholesaler or carrier. They want the freedom to choose their suppliers, diversify their portfolios, and remain in control of both margins and service quality.

Datagate supports this by allowing MSPs to work with whatever provider they prefer. The message of flexibility and freedom of choice landed well at the show, especially among providers who have learned firsthand that tying their business to a single supplier can create risk.

Strengthening Relationships With PSA Partners

Key insight: In-person meetings with global PSA teams help deepen technical alignment and long-term collaboration.

Beyond the booth, a standout highlight was the chance to meet teams from Kaseya, ConnectWise, and HaloPSA, including the Kaseya solutions team from Vancouver and colleagues from Dublin.

These conversations helped reinforce the work Datagate is doing to stay aligned with the major PSA platforms. They also highlighted how global the MSP ecosystem has become. Strengthening these relationships is an important part of Datagate’s roadmap as we continue to improve integrations and ensure MSP workflows remain seamless.

The ANZ MSP Community Remains One of the Most Engaged

Key insight: ANZ MSPs are proactive, automation-minded, and focused on operational efficiency.

The team noted how engaged, knowledgeable, and forward-thinking the ANZ MSP community continues to be. Discussions were practical and direct, focused on efficiency, accuracy, profitability, and how tools like Datagate can help MSPs do more with less.

It’s clear that ANZ MSPs understand the importance of smart automation and integrated workflows as their businesses continue to scale.
