Global online platform Cloud Depot has chosen Datagate’s telecom billing platform to be part of its automated Recurring Payment Service, which allows MSPs to connect their favorite payment gateway and completely automate accounts receivables from customers.
The addition of Datagate enables Cloud Depot to deliver automated telecommunications billing as part of its Recurring Payment Service offering. Cloud Depot manages the entire receivables cycle for MSPs. Its white label service has integrations with Xero, Stripe, eWay and IntegraPay. MSPs use the service to fully automate their accounts receivables.
“We chose Datagate because it’s easy to use, saves time and comes with fantastic support,”
says Roupen Egulian, Founder & CEO, Cloud Depot.
“Datagate’s integrations with Datto’s Autotask PSA and Xero help make it the perfect fit for us. Support has to be a given, it’s very important. Datagate support has been superb.”
Cloud Depot’s flagship product, MyAccountingToolbox, offers MSPs an accounts receivable solution for recurring payments with Autotask/Xero integration. MSPs can view and pay Xero invoices from inside Autotask, with a choice of payment methods.
“We can send the bills from Cloud Depot or invoice out of Datagate,” Roupen Egulian says.
“Then we synch with Xero and the Cloud Depot system processes the payments. Our integrations with Datagate, Datto’s Autotask PSA and Xero automate the process for getting paid for MSPs. It’s very time efficient for them. All accounts staff have to do is reconcile.”
Roupen also uses Datagate inside his own Australasian MSP business, Managed 247 Technology Solutions Pty Limited. The MSP uses Datagate for all of its telecoms billing, including UCaaS, hosted PBX, NBN (National Broadband Network) and fiber. In-house it runs Xero and Datto’s Autotask PSA and leverages Datagate’s integrations with these to automate data flows and minimize billing time and effort.
“I can run reports in many places and all data is flowing into one system. How it gets there shouldn’t be the MSP’s problem. For MSPs integration is key because it makes everything easier,” Roupen Egulian says.
“As both a builder and user of integrations, the ease of the Datagate system appeals to me. It’s not difficult at all. MSPs may offer different pricing plans and plans that don’t include calls, so having a powerful rating engine is important. Time efficiency is a huge thing. Datagate saves you from doing exceptions – you don’t have to go into the system.”
Reporting on automated systems is critical for MSPs, Roupen Egulian says.
“I like Datagate’s high-level dashboard. I dive into the portal and get the info I need. I also like the profitability calculator – I use it to double check myself once a quarter. We like to look at profitability per customer. It’s easy for us to see what price each customer buys at versus what we sell at, and their average spend. We can compare what we charge the customer with how much they use,” he says.
“When you set Datagate up, my pro tip is to put in buy-side information to get good reporting.”
